ABOUT THIS PIECE
Being ahead at sixteen does not take money, talent or connections. It takes a handful of behaviours almost nobody bothers with until they are thirty: being on time, keeping your word, greeting people properly, handling your own admin, earning and tracking your own money. This booklet turns those into one trackable month — filled in by him, not by his parents.
It also answers the question every teenager actually has: how do I do this without looking like I am trying too hard? The rule is on page two, and the whole thing is built around it.
## How to use it
Print it or use it on a tablet. Tick the grid each evening, do one slightly uncomfortable thing a week, fill in the money page honestly, and answer the four questions at the end of the month. Then start another month.
## Best for
Boys and young men roughly 13–19, and the parents or grandparents who want to give something more useful than another gadget.
