1. Who is responsible for your data
Maison Prive s.r.o., [address], IČO [number], is the controller of personal data collected through maisonprive.sk. Contact for any privacy question: hello@maisonprive.sk.
2. What we collect, why, and on what basis
When you buy something: your name, email address, billing country and order details. We need these to deliver the product, issue an invoice and meet our tax obligations. Basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for accounting records.
When you download a free product or join the letter: your email address, and your first name if you give it. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you write to us: whatever you put in your message. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
When you browse: standard technical data — IP address, browser, pages visited — collected by our website host and, if enabled, our analytics. Basis: legitimate interest in a site that works and consent where cookies require it.
Payment details are never seen or stored by us. They are handled by our payment provider.
3. Who else processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Website host / platform — hosting the site
- Payment provider — taking payments and issuing receipts
- Email provider — sending the letter and delivery emails
- Analytics provider — anonymous traffic statistics, only with your consent
- Etsy and Amazon — where you buy through their platforms, they are separate controllers with their own privacy policies
- Our accountant — for invoices and tax records
Some of these may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
We never sell your data, and we never share it for someone else's marketing.
4. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: for as long as Slovak tax law requires (currently 10 years).
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or after 24 months of no engagement.
- Correspondence: 2 years.
- Website analytics: 14 months.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to: confirm what data we hold and give you a copy; correct anything wrong; delete your data where we have no obligation to keep it; restrict or object to processing; send your data to another provider; and withdraw consent at any time, including by clicking unsubscribe in any email.
Write to hello@maisonprive.sk and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Slovak data protection authority, the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, or to the authority in your own country.
6. Email
If you sign up for a free product you are also subscribed to the Maison Prive letter, which we say plainly at the point of sign-up. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. We do not pass your address to anyone else.
7. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site and the checkout to work. If we use analytics or marketing cookies, we ask for your consent first through the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from the Privacy choices link in the footer. You may also block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work.
8. Children
Our products are for adults. Some are designed to be used with children, but we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, write to hello@maisonprive.sk and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reputable providers, keep access to our systems limited and protected, and keep customer data no longer than needed. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your rights, we would tell you and the authority as the law requires.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Significant changes affecting subscribers will be sent by email.
