ABOUT THIS PIECE
Children learn money the way they learn a language: by using it, badly at first, in front of someone patient. This tracker gives them their own pages to run — chores, earnings, a spend/save/give split, savings goals with a chart to colour in, a thirty-day wait list for things they think they want — and gives the parent a ten-minute monthly review with two questions that never turn into a lecture.
It also teaches the idea most adults never fully absorb: money is made by solving somebody's problem. There is a page for the child's first business idea, and one for the jobs they do for other people.
## How to use it
Print it or use it on a tablet. The child fills it in; the parent only runs the monthly review. Agree the split once, let them spend badly sometimes, and never use their answers as evidence later.
## Best for
Children roughly 7–14 and their parents or grandparents.
